Once the person has accepted, Spotify will automatically generate a custom cover art and a new playlist which combines our listening preferences and tastes. We click on that and then on Invites and choose who we want to send the invitation to. Then, scroll down to the word Made for you: here we should see a section entitled Designed for two people, which will include all blends made so far, and an option for Create a Blend playlist. To use the function, you need to click on the search button in the center of the menu at the bottom of the Spotify app. Blend draws on our most popular songs and adds them to the playlist on a daily basis, also taking into account shared tastes and the like … the result is a playlist that both of us will gladly listen to, with some surprise.įrom a distance, with Spotify Blend, it will feel like you’re in the same room and listening to the same music together.Īnd from there comes the flirtation: a joke about a song that we never expected, a reference to a romantic song that we both like, a dig for the presence of a song that we made the other discover us … Through Spotify, or better through music, we can feel in a different dimension, we are free to express our feelings starting from the melodies and lyrics of our songs.
Let’s say that it is as if spending an evening together, we decide with the other person to choose a song each. The best thing about this Spotify feature is that the effort is zero: you don’t have to think about how to impress, spending nights deciding which songs to put on your playlist! Blend allows two Spotify users to combine their musical tastes into a single playlist. But why precisely via Spotify? Because more and more courtship passes through the ether: selfies sent on WhatsApp, emails for longer and more introspective exchanges, coded messages in Instagram stories … and related reactions… (Not to mention Tinder and the like) but you want to put the right song at the perfect time? Especially when our lover, or rather, the one we would like him to be, is at a distance or still doesn’t know about our interest in him or – simply – when we find ourselves in an “impossible” situation (because some really are, useless deny it) a song can really say a thousand words and maybe work to win the attention of the other.
